I am a Minnesota-based photographer willing to travel for your event. I live west of the Metro area and have shot many weddings and portrait sessions in the Twin Cities but I also enjoy working in other parts of the state, especially Northern Minnesota where I love to visit. My name is Ashlie and my own wedding was 10 years ago to my wonderful husband, Matt. I have two children, Annie (8) and Elias (3). My family and my Christian faith are the center of my life and so I absolutely love being there for the moment when two other people set out to create their own legacy. I’m often so excited that even after a long day of shooting I will hurry home and start editing some of the pictures from a wedding that best captured that couple’s love. The couples I work with are thrilled to be able to see some of these shots while still buzzing in the afterglow of a wonderful day. In my free time I love travel, live music, breakfast for dinner, and playing with my children.
When you decide to work with me we will first schedule a session for engagement picture to capture the excitement you feel as you head towards the big day and get to know each other better. We’ll also meet to talk about your wedding and any special moments or people in your life that you want highlighted when it finally arrives.
I take pride in being easy to work with and putting your needs first. I am flexible and timely and I take your wedding day (almost) as seriously as you do. I make sure to put clients at ease by being responsive and cheerful and by injecting some humor into the experience. I am happy to alleviate any wedding day stress by helping in any way I can! I have photographed nearly 50 weddings and have received only positive feedback because I listen to what my clients want and always deliver it. I take pride in the fact that I have never had to do any re-shoots to satisfy an unhappy couple.
My love of capturing the perfect moments when two become one have led to several valuable friendships and lasting relationships with the couples who have hired me. I especially love when a couple whose wedding I shot contacts me to take pictures of a baby bump, or the children born from their union!
